With one of the highest tropical mountains of the world, the Andean Mountains, Peru is one of the favorite destinations of mountaineers from all over the world.

Their favorite area is undoubtedly the region of Huaraz which is the start point of several and famous courses, like Ishinca (5530 meters), Pisco (5752 meters), Alpamayo (5947 meters) and the highest peak of Peru Huascaran (6768 meters).

The other interesting region to practice mountain climbing is Arequipa, with the possibility of climbing several volcanoes like Misti (5822 meters) or Chachani (6075 meters).

The best season to do mountain climbing is mid-June mid-July and it is indispensable to fall back on the services of a mountain guide graduate and experienced.
